Our Services

All digital counseling services are currently being provided by Dr. Ryan Smith. Dr. Ryan maintains licenses in the state of Texas as both a Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor and Professional Counselor Supervisor. He earned his Ph.D. and Master's degrees in Counseling from Texas A&M University Commerce. 

Ryan has been working primarily in private practice since 2009. He has spent that time in a variety of settings but basing his clinical work out of a traditional private practice in McKinney, TX. In 2011 he founded a clinic in a public school system that provides free family therapy for the families of students with classroom struggles. In 2012 he began training staff and presenting in school districts across the state of Texas on the topic of digital interference. 

In 2013, Dr. Ryan began research on his dissertation topic which explored the impact of digital interference on analog relationships. As that work evolved and was eventually published he was sought out by schools, parent groups, and community groups across the country to speak on topics related to the digital world and relationships. 

In 2022 Dr. Ryan began working with corporate teams that work with family units. Specifically, Dr. Ryan began working hand-in-hand with companies who specialized in multi-generational financial planning, training them on family dynamics and relational concerns. That work involves teaching relational concepts as well as guiding employees through the complicated waters of multi-generational family units. 

Ryan served a six-year term as the President of the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Counselors and currently supervises a team of Associate level clinicians.
